IKEA 365 + SNDA track lighting systems imported by IKEA North America Services and sold exclusively at IKEA stores has been recalled due to some defects. They were sold from September 2011 through March 2012. These white, straight track systems are used to hold and power light fixtures. The brand name IKEA, 365+ SNDA, supplier number and date stamp are printed on a white label attached to the side of the track. The recalled tracks are 28" and 45" long. They were manufactured in China.
WHY THE RECALL: The ground connection in the track is defective, posing an electric shock hazard.
INCIDENTS: None reported yet.
HOW MANY: About 5,000 in the United States (and about 97,000 worldwide).
